It is with great sadness that we share with you the loss of Rollin Griffith. We also rejoice in his death knowing that he is now with Jesus. Thank you for all the wonderful years and ways you, our customers, have blessed the business he built and loved so much.Mr. Rollin G. Griffith, age 77 of Griffin, Georgia passed away, Friday, March 23, 2012. Mr. Griffith was born in Griffin, Georgia on October 12, 1934. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rollin Gerald Griffith, Sr. and Lucy Huguley Griffith. Mr. Griffith served 8 years with the Army National Guard, a member of the Southside Baptist Church and was with Gideon’s International. Mr. Griffith along with his parents owned and operated the Spinning Wheel Drive-In from 1950 – 1955 and the Triangle Restaurant from 1956 – 1969. Mr. Griffith founded Griffith’s Drive-In in 1975. Mr. and Mrs. Griffith celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on March 22, 2012 Survivors include wife of 58 years, Norma W. Griffith; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Laurie Griffith of Griffin, Randy and Linda Griffith of Newnan; grandchildren, Hailey and Tim Andrews of Lilburn, Micki Griffith, Rusty Griffith and Jessi Griffith all of Griffin; great grandchildren, Ali Andrews and Brooks Andrews; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bobby and Runette Watts of Monroe.
His grandson, Rusty Griffith, officiated the funeral and the Marine Corp League rendered military honors. We know he would have been so very proud.
